At Station Linné we have been organising nature experience
activities for almost ten years. Thousands of families, school kids and
visitors from all over Europe have visit us and had an unforgettable
nature experience with one of our guides.
We contanlty develop new activities. This summer (2009) we wil
come with a multilanguagal and half-day acitivity which
we call Treasures of Öland.
On this out of the ordinary family activitty , our guide takes you on a
time trip through Öland and the Alvar. Expect to go treasure
hunting, explore old monuments, get active and at the same time learn
about the ecology and history of this surprising island!
Treasures of Öland is developed as a family
activity, for all ages. We have no special physical requirements.
Just wear what suits the weather best (rainclothes and boots when
it is wet, hats and sunglases when it is warm).
During this 3 hour activity we will provide a teabreak
with refreshments, but bring along your own drinking
bottle with water on warm days!
Treasures of Öland will take place every thursday
afternoon 14:00 -1700. Advanced
booking only!
Costs: 200 SEK for adults and 50 SEK for children up till 16.
Thursdays in July (16, 23, 30): Dutch and English
Thursdays in August (6 , 13, 20 , 27): German, Dutch
and English
Guides: Renate Foks (Dutch, English), Ingrid
von Brandt (German)
Renate is environmental educator and guide and Ingrid
is biologist.
Other acitivities
We organise
unique and learnfull nature tours between May and late
August.
In May, when the orchirds bloom and the birds arrive on Öland,
follow us on one of our orchid or bird tours. Summertime is
perfect to explore the flowerings meadows, look for butterflies or take
a hike on the Alvar with one of guides.
Kids will have a great time on our nature experience
programme
"Naturspanare" on monday, tuesday and thursday. On friday we will
challange you to meet natures most scary creatures during
"Naturens Värstingar"
For a real out of the ordinary activity, be sure not to
miss Mystery in the dark (Mystik i mörkret), an evening activity there
we search for bats,
moths and other nocturnal animals. We organise Mystik i mörkret
several times between may and august.
These tours are
in Swedish, but most guides can accomodate english speaking
guests. Just call in advance!
Groups
For groups we can organise both special
interests and general excursions. Contact us with
your request. |
